"Mohammadi added, "Tehran Municipality tends to be very active in diplomacy and we will have a strategic plan in respect to urban diplomacy. Tehran's general need to attend international events and perform special activities in branding and identification of Tehran made us make better use of our internal branding capabilities."

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has made valuable efforts in this regard and should be appreciated."

"As one of the most important capitals in the world and whether both a metropolis and as a province, Tehran has a unique and great capacity to play an effective role on a global scale. We consider it to have a potential beyond national opportunities and hope that this city will play a more tangible role through the knowledge, expertise and efforts of the managers of communication area.

Gashtasb Mozaffari, secretary general of the AMF, also thanked the parties, and noting that the region has certain conditions, he expressed hope that permanent peaceful coexistence would dominate the region. He also emphasized the key role of cities due to their population which is 5% of the world's population.

"We have held five meetings of the AMF so far and hope that the activities of this forum will contribute to national interests," the secretary general of the AMF said.
